AutoGP opens as a side panel in Chrome, from its icon in the toolbar. It has four tabs, Post, Groups, Schedule and Results, and a gear at the top right with Account and plan, Settings, Help and Send feedback. The buttons below are named as they appear in the panel in English; the panel can be switched to another language in Settings.
The top of the panel
- The Facebook account chip shows who AutoGP posts as. Click it to see Posting as and Refresh from Facebook.
- Upgrade opens the plans. The chip beside Post to, at the bottom, says how many posts are left: "N free posts left", "N posts left this month", "No monthly post limit" or "Unlimited posts". It turns red with "Upgrade" when few are left, and says "Payment problem" when a payment failed.
- Not connected yet? AutoGP posts only once this browser is connected to an AutoGP account. The Results tab then shows "One step left: create your free account", and Account and plan has Connect account. Signing up on autogp.ai in this browser connects it by itself.
The Post tab: writing the post
- What to send switches between an ordinary Post and a Listing for buy and sell groups.
- The text box takes the post. The styling bar adds bold, italic, underline, strikethrough and monospace, and a button switches the writing direction for right-to-left languages.
- + Add version writes the same post another way, up to five versions. Groups get the versions in turn, so they don't all see the same words.
- Spintax and Add alternatives: {Hi|Hey|Hello} in the text picks one of the words for each group. Add alternatives builds these for selected words.
- Images and video takes up to 10 images and 1 video. "Vary images per group" changes them slightly for each group.
- First comment is posted under each post after it goes up, for a link or a price, say.
- Preview shows the post as it will look in a group, version by version. Get versions with AI writes a prompt to paste into ChatGPT and reads the answer back. Save Template and Templates keep posts to reuse.
- + Add another campaign puts several different posts into one run.
- Speed: Careful, Steady or Faster, with the one recommended for this Facebook account marked. Customize sets the wait between groups, breaks and the order of the groups.
- The bar at the bottom: Post to picks All Groups or a bundle (a saved set of groups), then Post now or Schedule….
- A listing has a title, price, condition, description, tags and photos. One listing form reaches up to 20 groups, and only groups that Facebook's form offers get it.
Ready to post: the check before a run
Post now and Schedule… open Ready to post first, which says what will happen before anything is posted:
- Posting as: the Facebook account. A new account is asked how old it is, because the starting daily limit depends on it.
- Groups and Posted recently: groups that had a post within the spacing time can be skipped or included.
- Daily limit: whether everything fits today, or is spread Over N days. Set my own limit changes it.
- Time: about how long the run takes and when it finishes.
- Speed and Posting hours: outside the hours it offers to wait until they start.
- Repeated text: a warning when the post matches one from the last 24 hours.
- Resting: shown only during a rest after a Facebook warning (below).
Start posting begins the run; a line above it says what is stopping it, if anything is.
During a run
A strip at the top of every tab says "Posting 3 of 20 · next in 2 min", with Pause and Stop. Stop ends the run after the current group. Keep Chrome open: closing it stops the run. If one group takes too long, AutoGP offers Skip this group.
The Results tab
The top line sums up the run, such as "All 20 posted" or "Stopped: Facebook logged this account out". Each group has its own row:
- Posted, with View post.
- Waiting for admin approval: the group's admins review posts before they appear.
- Skipped, with the reason, such as a post in that group too recently.
- Failed, with the reason and What to do, which opens the help page for it.
Some reasons stop the whole run, to protect the account: Facebook temporarily blocked posting, Facebook restricted the account, Facebook wants you to confirm it's you, and Facebook logged the account out. Others skip one group and the run carries on: not a member of the group, the group doesn't let you post, the group is paused or archived or isn't available, a buy and sell group that takes only listings, AutoGP couldn't find where to write the post, Facebook didn't confirm the post went through, and posting took too long. Three groups failing in a row for the same posting reason also stops the run.
Retry posting tries the failed groups again, Expand opens every result with filters and Export CSV, and Past runs keeps earlier runs. Run Diagnostics, at the bottom, collects what support needs.
The Groups tab
- Sync Groups loads the Facebook groups this account has joined. AutoGP posts only to groups you're a member of.
- Add group adds one group from its link.
- Bundles are saved sets of groups: tick groups, then Add to bundle. Post to these posts to the ticked groups.
- Each group shows its health: when it was last posted to, Needs approval, or Failed last time. The filters Issues, Needs approval and Never posted find them. Hidden groups come back from Settings, under Groups.
The Schedule tab
Scheduled posts, with + New schedule and Pause all scheduled posts. A schedule can run once, every day, on chosen days, every few days or every few hours, and end on a date or after a number of runs. Chrome has to be open when a scheduled post is due.
Resting after a Facebook warning
From version 3.3.0, when Facebook blocks posting or asks for a security check, AutoGP stops the run and rests the account for 24 hours. A banner on every tab says "Resting this account until…", why, that scheduled posts are paused until then, and that the speed is now Careful. Blocks like this often lift after a day without posting, and posting through one can lead to a longer restriction. A run started by hand during the rest asks first (Keep resting or Post anyway). End the rest now ends it early. The rest can be turned off in Settings: "Rest a day after a warning from Facebook".
Settings
- Speed and safety: the speed, Account protection (the daily limit, posting hours, pacing and repeated-text warnings), the rest after a warning, the daily limit (Warm up gradually, recommended, or a fixed limit of up to 200 a day), posting hours, and the spacing between posts to the same group (24 hours recommended).
- Post in the background: posting windows stay behind your other windows.
- Scheduling: keep the computer awake for scheduled posts, and notifications when a run ends or a scheduled post is missed.
- Groups: sync when the panel opens, at most once a day, and hidden groups.
- Appearance and Language: light or dark, and the panel's language. Posts go out exactly as written, in any language.
- Backup and data: a copy on your autogp.ai account, Export backup and Restore from file.
To disconnect this browser from your account, open Account and plan and choose to disconnect it.
Ask AutoGP in the panel
In versions newer than 3.3.0, the chat button in the panel, which can be dragged anywhere so it never covers what you need, answers questions from these help pages. It needs the browser to be connected to your account.
When to contact support
Email support@autogp.ai when a screen doesn't look or work the way this page says, or when Results gives a reason whose help page doesn't solve it. Include what Run Diagnostics shows.
