The short answer: couples and party hosts choose vendors in Facebook groups months before the day, and they book the ones they've seen more than once. Post your open dates, real work from real events, the area you cover and a starting price in local wedding planning, bride, venue and community groups, and keep it going through engagement season. Vendors who post every week stay in front of couples while they compare; doing it group by group is where most give up, and that's the part AutoGP does.

For promoting your own event or workshop to attendees, see our guide for events and classes. For other kinds of business, see all our business guides.

Where couples and hosts choose vendors

  • Wedding planning groups: [city] brides, [state] brides [year], [city] wedding planning, [region] wedding vendors.
  • Venue groups: groups for a venue's past and future couples, and [venue] weddings.
  • Buy-and-sell wedding groups: [city] wedding resale, where couples who are buying décor are also looking for vendors.
  • Parents' and community groups for birthdays, graduations, quinceañeras, bar and bat mitzvahs, and school dances.
  • Vendor networking groups: [city] wedding pros, for referrals and last-minute cover.

Many bride groups allow vendor posts only on one day or in one thread, and some ban them. Read the rules; in these groups a vendor who answers questions helpfully is remembered.

The open-dates post

One post every business here can use all season:

{Still available|Open dates|Dates still open} for [season] [year]: [date], [date], [date]
[Service] in [area] · packages from [price]
{Recent work|From a recent wedding} at [venue] (shared with the couple's permission)
{Message me|Send me a message} to check your date.

Real open dates are the hook: a couple with that date will message today. Update the list every week and remove dates as they book.

How wedding photographers and videographers get more clients

  • Search Facebook for: [city] brides, [state] brides [year], [venue] weddings, [city] engagement photos, [city] elopements.
  • What works: varied images from one real wedding rather than ten best-of shots, the venues you've worked, coverage hours, what's delivered and when, and a starting price. Video clips should be short and from real events.
  • Engagement sessions are an easy first post, and many couples book the wedding with the same photographer.
  • Rhythm: weekly open dates in engagement season; every two weeks otherwise, plus a post when a date frees up.
  • Calendar: December to February for bookings; spring for engagement shoots; autumn for holiday and family sessions.

How wedding planners get more clients

  • Search Facebook for: [city] wedding planning, [city] brides, destination wedding [place], [city] event planning.
  • What works: what you do (full planning, partial, on-the-day coordination), a real timeline or problem you solved, the budget ranges you work with, and your area. Couples want to know you'll keep them calm.
  • Rhythm: a weekly helpful post (a checklist, a timeline) with your offer at the end, where groups allow.
  • Calendar: engagement season, and January for the year's weddings.

How DJs and musicians get more bookings

  • Search Facebook for: [city] brides, [high school] parents (proms and dances), [city] events, [town] community, [city] corporate events.
  • What works: a short clip from a real event, the events you play, your coverage area, equipment and lighting, and a starting price. Couples want to hear how you handle the first dance and the moment the floor goes quiet.
  • Rhythm: weekly in wedding season, with extra posts before prom, graduation and the holidays.
  • Calendar: prom in spring, graduations, weddings from late spring, holiday parties in November and December.
{Open for|Booking|Taking bookings for} [event type]: [date], [date]
{DJ|Band|Live music} in [area] · sound and lighting included · from [price]
{Hear a clip|Watch a clip} from a recent [event] below.
{Message me|Send me a message} with your date and venue.

How florists get more wedding and event orders

  • Search Facebook for: [city] brides, [city] wedding planning, [town] community, [town] moms (for Mother's Day and proms), [city] event planners.
  • What works: your own arrangements from real events, the season's flowers, starting prices for bouquets and centerpieces, and your delivery area. Say how far ahead couples should book.
  • Rhythm: weekly with seasonal flowers; order-deadline posts before the big days.
  • Calendar: Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, prom corsages, wedding season, the holidays.

How party rental businesses get more customers

  • Search Facebook for: [town] moms, [town] kids birthday ideas, [town] community, [school] PTA, [city] graduation party.
  • What works: a real photo of each item set up, prices per day, the delivery area, what's included (setup, takedown, stakes and weights), and which weekends are still open.
  • Safety and insurance: say you're insured only if you are, and follow the maker's setup and wind limits for inflatables and tents.
  • Calendar: summer weekends, graduations, back to school events and fall festivals.

The rules for event vendors

  • Consent. Post a couple's, host's or guest's photo only with permission, and never children's photos without a parent's.
  • Contracts and deposits. Put the deposit, what it covers and the cancellation terms in writing before taking money; say "from" prices, not final prices, in posts.
  • Music and venue rules. Venues set their own rules on sound limits, candles and outside vendors; check before you promise.
  • Claims and reviews. "Award-winning" and "featured in" must be true, and reviews must be real: the FTC's reviews rule bans fake ones.
  • Meta's policies. Services can't be sold through Marketplace under Meta's Commerce Policies, and alcohol can't be sold in groups, so a bar service promotes its service, not the drinks.

Doing it with AutoGP, step by step

AutoGP is a Chrome extension paired with your autogp.ai account. It posts ordinary posts to groups you've joined, as the Facebook profile logged into Chrome, and never asks for your Facebook password. Chrome stays open while it runs. AutoGP isn't affiliated with Meta.

  1. Sync your groups in the Groups tab and bundle them by audience: "Bride groups (vendor day)", "Parents' groups", "Venue groups".

  2. Write the open-dates post with spintax and attach work from real events, varied slightly for each group. Put your portfolio or enquiry link in First Comment where links are allowed.

  3. Preview every version and check the dates.

  4. Schedule it for each group's vendor day, and repeat it weekly through engagement season; edit the dates as they book.

  5. Check Results for which groups it went up in and which are waiting for an admin, and answer enquiries from there.

Protection is on by default: a warm-up daily limit set by your account's age, random delays, and a guard against near-identical posts. After 19 free posts (no card), see pricing. Any posting tool carries some risk to your Facebook account, which our terms explain.

What not to do

  • Posting in bride groups outside the vendor day or thread.
  • Other vendors' photos, or styled shoots passed off as real weddings.
  • Dates you've already booked left in the post.
  • Guests or children in photos without permission.
  • Replying to a couple's question with only a link. Answer it, then offer your details.
  • The same post in every group every day. Once a week per group is enough; see posting limits.

Common questions

How do wedding vendors book more weddings without paying for ads?+
Couples ask for vendors in local wedding planning groups, [city] brides and [year] brides groups, and their town's community groups. Post your open dates for the coming season, real work from weddings you did (with the couple's permission), the venues you know, and a "from" price. Answer vendor requests the day they're posted, and keep a weekly post running through engagement season.
How do wedding photographers get more clients?+
Show full galleries' worth of variety from real weddings, not only the best frame: getting ready, the ceremony, family groups, the party. Post open dates and your starting package in wedding planning, bride and local venue groups. Styled shoots are fine to show if you say they were styled. Collaborations with planners and florists in the same groups bring referrals.
How do DJs and wedding musicians get more bookings?+
Post short clips from real events (with the hosts' permission), the kinds of events you play, the area you cover, your equipment and a price from. Wedding groups book months ahead; parties, proms, school dances and corporate events book closer in, so post in parents', school and business groups too.
How do party rental businesses get more customers?+
Post what's available for the coming weekends, such as bounce houses, tents, tables and chairs, backdrops and photo booths, with delivery area, prices and a real photo of each item set up. Parents' groups before birthdays and graduations, and community groups before summer, are where the bookings come from. Say if you're insured, if you are.
When should wedding vendors post the most?+
From the holidays through February, when many couples get engaged and start booking, and again in late summer for the next year. Show open dates for the coming peak season (late spring to autumn in much of the US and Europe), and post last-minute openings as soon as a date frees up.
Will posting in many groups get my Facebook account restricted?+
It can, and no tool can promise it won't, AutoGP included. Risk rises with high volume on a young account, identical text across groups and posts that break group rules. AutoGP paces posts by your account's age, randomizes delays, varies wording with spintax and photos per group, warns about near-identical posts, and stops the run if Facebook signals an account-level block.
