AutoGP

Your first post with AutoGP

How to use AutoGP from sign-up to your first run: add it to Chrome, sync your Facebook groups, write and preview the post, start posting and read the results.

AutoGP posts one post to many Facebook groups you've joined, automatically, from your own Chrome. These are the steps from signing up to your first run, with the buttons named as they appear in AutoGP. Start with 25 free posts: the pricing page shows the plans and prices for your country.

Before you start

  • Google Chrome on a computer. AutoGP is a Chrome extension, so it doesn't run on a phone. You can sign up on a phone and set up on the computer afterwards.
  • Facebook logged in, in that Chrome, as the profile you'll post as. AutoGP posts through that session, so it never asks for your Facebook password.
  • Groups you've already joined. AutoGP posts only to groups you're a member of.

Step by step

  1. Open Chrome on a computer, logged in to Facebook. Use the Chrome profile where the Facebook account you'll post as is signed in.
  2. Create your AutoGP account. Sign up at autogp.ai. Your dashboard opens with the setup steps.
  3. Add the AutoGP extension to Chrome and pin it. Press Add AutoGP to Chrome on your dashboard, or open AutoGP on the Chrome Web Store and add it there. Then click the puzzle piece in Chrome's toolbar and the pin beside AutoGP, so it's one click away.
  4. Connect the extension to your account. Leave the dashboard tab open while the extension installs: it connects itself, with no code to copy, and the dashboard shows AutoGP is ready to post. If it doesn't, open AutoGP from the toolbar and press Connect account.
  5. Open the Groups tab and press Sync Groups. AutoGP loads the groups you've joined. When it asks How old is this Facebook account?, answer it: your starting daily limit is set from the account's age.
  6. Start with a few groups, and check each group's rules. For a first run, pick five to ten groups whose rules allow your kind of post. Some groups ban sales posts or links, or allow them only on certain days, and a post that breaks a rule gets declined or removed.
  7. Write your post on the Post tab. Add the text, photos or a video under Images and video, and a First comment if you want one posted under each post (a link or a price, for example). Press + Add version to write the post another way: groups get the versions in turn, so they don't all see the same words.
  8. Press Preview. Check how the post will look in a group, version by version, before anything is posted.
  9. Tick the groups to post to, or pick a bundle. A bundle is a named set of groups you save once and pick again next time.
  10. Press Start posting, and leave Chrome running. AutoGP posts to each group in turn, with random waits between groups, inside your posting hours. Closing Chrome stops the run. Stop ends it after the current group.
  11. Read the Results tab. Every group gets an outcome: Posted, Waiting for admin approval (the group's admins review posts before they appear), or Skipped with the reason. Each reason links to a help page that says what to do.
  12. Schedule your next posts. Once a run has gone the way you wanted, use Schedule… to post later or on repeat. Chrome has to be open when a scheduled post is due: keeping scheduled posts running explains how.

Keeping your account safe

AutoGP posts from your real Facebook account. Pacing lowers the risk of Facebook limiting it, but no tool removes that risk, AutoGP included. AutoGP keeps to a daily limit that grows with your account, spreads posts out, and stops the run the moment Facebook shows a warning. How AutoGP protects your account explains each of these.

The safest first weeks look like the steps above: a few groups whose rules you've read, a post written a few ways, and more groups added gradually.

When to contact support

Email support@autogp.ai if a step doesn't work as described here: the extension won't connect, Sync Groups finds none of your groups, or Start posting does nothing. Include what Run Diagnostics in the extension shows.
