AutoGP vs PilotPoster: Posting to Many Facebook Groups in One Click, Compared

By Shirman, founder of AutoGP · 5 October 2026 · 8 min read

AutoGP and PilotPoster both post one post to dozens or 100 Facebook groups you've joined, automatically and in one click, from a Chrome extension that runs in your own logged-in browser. PilotPoster has more content features: AI-written variations, video, RSS autoposting and posting to your profile or a Page. AutoGP costs less, gives 25 free posts rather than a one-day trial, and builds its pacing around your account's age, stopping the run when Facebook objects.

A disclosure: I make AutoGP. PilotPoster's details below are from its own site and Chrome Web Store listing, linked, as of October 5, 2026.

The short answer

  • Choose AutoGP if your goal is getting one post into dozens of groups: it costs less than half as much ($19 a month against $47), offers yearly plans, gives 25 free posts rather than a one-day trial, covers up to 10 Facebook accounts on one plan, and sets its pace from your account's age.
  • Choose PilotPoster if you want AI-written variations per group, video, RSS feeds turned into posts, or posting to your own profile and Pages from the same tool.

What AutoGP does that PilotPoster doesn't list

These are things AutoGP does that I couldn't find anywhere on PilotPoster's own pages:

  • A daily limit worked out for your account. AutoGP asks how old your Facebook account is and whether it has posted in groups, then sets a limit that warms up by about 30% a week, from 25 posts a day to as many as 100. You don't have to guess how much is too much.
  • It stops the whole run when Facebook objects. If Facebook blocks posting for a while, asks you to confirm it's you, restricts the account or logs you out, AutoGP stops at once rather than pressing on. A single group that turns a post down is skipped, and the rest carry on.
  • Waits that stretch as the day fills up, plus posting hours (08:00 to 23:00 by default). A run still going when the hours end stops there and carries on by itself when they next start.
  • A slightly different copy of your images for every group, and a warning before a run when your post is very similar to one you sent in the last day.
  • A result for every group, with a reason. The Results tab says what happened in each group, every reason has a help page of its own, and Run Diagnostics checks the setup for you.
  • Failed posts don't count. Only posts that actually go through use up your allowance; a post that fails or is skipped is given back.
  • Every feature on every plan, so no cheaper tier is missing the safety controls. Plans differ only in how much you post and how many Facebook accounts you post as.
  • Up to 10 Facebook accounts on one plan with Agency, profiles or Pages in any mix, for agencies posting for clients.
  • Prices set for your country. Many countries pay about 40% or 60% less, shown automatically.

PilotPoster's details come from its features page, its pricing page and its FAQ. "Not listed" means I couldn't find it there. AutoGP's come from Pricing and How AutoGP protects your account.

Price and trial

PilotPoster has one plan, Pro, at $47 a month, with a one-day free trial and a 7-day refund. AutoGP Pro is $19 a month or $149 a year at the full US price, lower in many countries, and Business is $39. AutoGP's trial is 25 free posts rather than a day, so you can run a campaign at your own pace before deciding.

For several accounts, PilotPoster sells one license per Facebook profile or Page. AutoGP's Agency plan covers up to 10 Facebook accounts for $99 a month.

Features

PilotPoster is the broader content tool. Its AI writes a different version of the post for each group, it posts video, it can turn an RSS feed into posts, and it posts to your own profile or a Page as well as groups, with a calendar and delivery logs.

AutoGP keeps to groups. You write the post, use spintax to vary it, add images (each group gets a very slightly changed copy), choose the groups, and press start.

Scheduling

Both schedule. PilotPoster lists scheduling, auto-repeat and a calendar with delivery logs. In AutoGP you pick a date and time on the Schedule tab and, to repeat it, a gap of 1 to 168 hours, so 24 posts it daily and 168 weekly. With either tool, Chrome has to be running at the scheduled time, because the posting happens in your browser rather than on a server. AutoGP's scheduled runs keep to the same daily limit, waits and posting hours as a run you start by hand. How to schedule posts in Facebook groups has the steps.

Who each one is built for

PilotPoster suits a marketer who publishes a steady stream of content in several places: a blog feed that should turn into posts, a profile and Page to keep active, and groups on top, with AI writing a fresh version for each. That breadth is what the single $47 plan pays for.

AutoGP suits someone whose main job is getting the same offer in front of many groups: a seller with a product or a car, an agent with a listing, a local business with a weekly promotion, or an agency doing that for clients. It does one thing and puts the effort into doing it at a pace the account can carry.

Pacing and account safety

Both space posts out with randomized delays. AutoGP also:

  1. Sets a daily limit from your account's age and history, starting at 25 posts a day or more and rising by about 30% a week to a ceiling between 35 and 100.
  2. Stretches its waits as the day fills up, and keeps to posting hours.
  3. Stops the whole run when Facebook blocks posting, asks you to confirm it's you, restricts the account or logs you out, and skips single groups that turn a post down.

No tool, AutoGP included, can make an account immune to restrictions. What actually gets accounts restricted explains what does matter.

Which one should you pick?

If you want one tool that writes variations with AI, posts video and covers your profile and Pages too, PilotPoster does more and charges for it. If your job is getting one post into dozens of groups regularly, at a pace your account can carry, AutoGP does that for less.

Try AutoGP on a real post with the 25 free posts: post to many groups in one click.

Not sure you need a tool at all?

A posting tool isn't the only way to reach many groups. If you post to a handful of groups now and then, doing it by hand costs nothing but time, and how to post to multiple Facebook groups at once shows the manual way step by step next to the automatic one. If you're choosing between kinds of tool rather than two products, the best Facebook group posting tools compares every option, including Facebook's own scheduler for groups you run and the hired-help route. Whatever you pick, the habits that keep an account healthy are the same: vary the wording, follow each group's rules, and don't post more in a day than your account usually would. The rest of our guides on Facebook group marketing and automation go into each of those.

FAQ

How much does PilotPoster cost?

$47 a month for its single Pro plan, with a one-day $0 trial and a 7-day refund, according to its pricing page on October 5, 2026.

Is AutoGP a PilotPoster alternative?

Yes. Both post to many Facebook groups automatically from your own Chrome. AutoGP is $19 a month for Pro, has yearly plans and 25 free posts, and sets a daily limit from your account's age. PilotPoster adds AI variations, video, RSS and profile and Page posting.

Do I need to keep my computer on with AutoGP or PilotPoster?

Yes, for both. They post from your own Chrome, so the computer has to be on, awake and running Chrome while a run or a scheduled post goes out.

Can I manage several Facebook accounts?

PilotPoster sells one license per Facebook profile or Page. AutoGP's Agency plan covers up to 10 Facebook accounts on one subscription.
