AutoGP vs MultiGroupPoster: Two Ways to Post to Many Facebook Groups in One Click

By Shirman, founder of AutoGP · 5 October 2026 · 9 min read

AutoGP and MultiGroupPoster do the same core job: you write one post, pick dozens or 100 Facebook groups you've joined, and a Chrome extension posts it to all of them automatically, one group after another, in one click. Both run in your own logged-in browser, so neither asks for your Facebook password. The real differences are price, how each paces your account, and what you get around the posting itself. MultiGroupPoster is cheaper and posts video; AutoGP gives a larger free trial, sets a daily limit from your account's age and stops a run the moment Facebook objects.

One disclosure first: I make AutoGP. I've kept to what each product says about itself, with links, and I say plainly where MultiGroupPoster is the better pick. Prices and features were checked on October 5, 2026.

The short answer

  • Choose AutoGP if you want your account looked after for you: a daily limit set from your account's age, a run that stops itself when Facebook warns you, results with a reason for every group, 25 free posts to try it, and plans for several Facebook accounts and clients.
  • Choose MultiGroupPoster if the lowest US price matters most, you post video, or you want daily, weekly or monthly repeats on a calendar.

What AutoGP does that MultiGroupPoster doesn't list

These are things AutoGP does that I couldn't find anywhere on MultiGroupPoster's own pages:

  • A daily limit worked out for your account. AutoGP asks how old your Facebook account is and whether it has posted in groups, then sets a limit that warms up by about 30% a week, from 25 posts a day to as many as 100. You don't have to guess how much is too much.
  • It stops the whole run when Facebook objects. If Facebook blocks posting for a while, asks you to confirm it's you, restricts the account or logs you out, AutoGP stops at once rather than pressing on. A single group that turns a post down is skipped, and the rest carry on.
  • Waits that stretch as the day fills up, plus posting hours (08:00 to 23:00 by default). A run still going when the hours end stops there and carries on by itself when they next start.
  • A slightly different copy of your images for every group, and a warning before a run when your post is very similar to one you sent in the last day.
  • A result for every group, with a reason. The Results tab says what happened in each group, every reason has a help page of its own, and Run Diagnostics checks the setup for you.
  • Failed posts don't count. Only posts that actually go through use up your allowance; a post that fails or is skipped is given back.
  • Every feature on every plan, so no cheaper tier is missing the safety controls. Plans differ only in how much you post and how many Facebook accounts you post as.
  • Up to 10 Facebook accounts on one plan with Agency, profiles or Pages in any mix, for agencies posting for clients.
  • Prices set for your country. Many countries pay about 40% or 60% less, shown automatically.

MultiGroupPoster's details are from its home page, its pricing page and its Chrome Web Store listing. "Not listed" means I couldn't find it on those pages, not that it can't be done. AutoGP's are on Pricing and in How AutoGP protects your account.

Price

MultiGroupPoster is the cheaper of the two. Its Pro plan is $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year, against AutoGP Pro's $19 a month or $149 a year at the full US price. AutoGP charges less in many countries (the price you see on Pricing is the one you pay), but in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, MultiGroupPoster costs about half as much.

The free trials go the other way. MultiGroupPoster gives 6 free posts; AutoGP gives 25, enough to run a real campaign or two and see whether inquiries come in before you pay.

Pacing and account safety

Both tools wait a random time between groups, which matters: posting the same thing to twenty groups in two minutes is the pattern Meta's spam policy describes. MultiGroupPoster offers three speed modes and says it simulates human behavior such as scrolling and pauses.

AutoGP adds two things on top of the wait:

  1. A daily limit set from your account. When you first open it, AutoGP asks how old your Facebook account is and whether it has posted in groups before, then sets a daily limit that starts at 25 posts or more and rises by about 30% a week, up to 35 a day for an account under a month old and 100 for one over two years. Waits also stretch as the day fills up.
  2. Stopping when Facebook objects. A problem with one group, such as a group that doesn't let you post, is skipped. A problem with your account, such as Facebook blocking posting for a while or asking you to confirm it's you, stops the whole run at once.

No tool can make an account immune to restrictions, and neither of these does. What they can do is keep your volume within what your account can carry. More on that in Is auto-posting to Facebook groups safe?

Scheduling

Both tools schedule, and in both Chrome has to be open at the scheduled time, because the posting happens in your browser. MultiGroupPoster's repeats follow a calendar: daily, weekly or monthly. AutoGP's follow a gap: you pick a date and time, then repeat every so many hours, from 1 to 168 (one week). If you think in "every Monday", MultiGroupPoster's way is simpler; if you think in "every two days", AutoGP's is.

What else comes with it

MultiGroupPoster has some posting extras AutoGP doesn't: video, coloured post backgrounds, spintax across sets of images, and importing groups from a CSV file or a list of URLs.

AutoGP puts more around the posting: a web account where you see what went out, plans for several Facebook accounts (Agency covers up to 10, for agencies posting for clients), a warning before a run when your post is very similar to one sent in the last day, and a help page for every reason a group can turn a post down.

Which one should you pick?

If you're on a tight budget, post to a modest number of groups, or need video, MultiGroupPoster is a sound choice and costs less. If your account is new, you plan to post often, or you're posting for clients, AutoGP's account-based daily limit and its stop-on-warning are what you're paying the difference for.

The easiest way to decide is to try both on the same post. AutoGP's 25 free posts are enough to see a run from start to finish: post to many groups in one click.

Not sure you need a tool at all?

A posting tool isn't the only way to reach many groups. If you post to a handful of groups now and then, doing it by hand costs nothing but time, and how to post to multiple Facebook groups at once shows the manual way step by step next to the automatic one. If you're choosing between kinds of tool rather than two products, the best Facebook group posting tools compares every option, including Facebook's own scheduler for groups you run and the hired-help route. Whatever you pick, the habits that keep an account healthy are the same: vary the wording, follow each group's rules, and don't post more in a day than your account usually would. The rest of our guides on Facebook group marketing and automation go into each of those.

FAQ

Is MultiGroupPoster free?

Partly. It gives 6 free posts in total, then its Pro plan is $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year, according to its pricing page on October 5, 2026.

Is AutoGP cheaper than MultiGroupPoster?

Not at the full US price: AutoGP Pro is $19 a month against MultiGroupPoster's $9.99. AutoGP is lower in many countries with regional prices, and its free trial is larger, 25 posts against 6.

Do AutoGP and MultiGroupPoster need my Facebook password?

No. Both are Chrome extensions that post through the Facebook session you're already logged in to, so neither asks for your password.

Which is safer for my Facebook account?

Both space posts out with random waits. AutoGP also sets a daily limit from your account's age and stops the whole run when Facebook shows a warning. No tool can promise your account won't be restricted; what you post and how often still matter most.

Can both post to groups I'm not an admin of?

Yes. Both post to groups you've joined as a member, as long as the group lets members post.
