The group is paused or archived

While a Facebook group is paused or archived, no one can post in it, admins included. What that means for your runs, and what to do with the group.

What it means

The group isn't taking posts from anyone at the moment, because it has been paused or archived:

  • Paused. An admin can pause a group for a while. Meta says that while a group is paused, no one can post, comment or react in it, admins included, though members can still delete their own posts or leave. Admins can set a time for it to start again.
  • Archived. An archived group is kept as it was, with no new activity. Meta has said it archives groups that have been left without an admin for some time.

It's the group's state, not a problem with your account or your membership. AutoGP skips the group and carries on posting to the others.

What to do

  1. Open the group from the Results tab (its name is a link). A paused group says so on its page.
  2. Leave it out of your runs and bundles until it's active again. Posting to it until then fails every time.
  3. Add it back once it's active. You'll see "Write something" on its page again.
  4. If it's archived, treat it as gone unless an admin brings it back, and look for an active group with the same audience.

When to contact support

Email support@autogp.ai if the group is active and you can post in it by hand, but AutoGP still gives this reason. Include the group's link and what Run Diagnostics shows.
