What it means
Facebook wants to be sure the account is being used by its owner before it lets it carry on, so it shows a page asking you to confirm it's you. This sometimes follows activity Facebook found unusual. Until the check is done, nothing can be posted from the account.
With protection on, as it is by default, AutoGP stops the whole run as soon as it meets this check, because every other group would meet it too. Posts that went through before it stopped stay posted.
AutoGP never fills in a security check, and it shouldn't: only you can confirm the account is yours.
What to do
- Open facebook.com in the Chrome profile you post from, and follow the steps Facebook shows. They're between you and Facebook, and AutoGP never sees them.
- If you didn't expect the check, change your Facebook password and turn on two-factor authentication once you're back in.
- Wait before posting again. A check after unusual activity is a sign to slow down. Give the account a day or two, and read Facebook temporarily blocked posting for how to come back slower.
- Check who AutoGP is posting as. In the extension, "Posting as" should show the account you just confirmed. Refresh it if it doesn't.
- Start again with the groups that haven't had the post yet. The Results tab lists the ones that did.
When to contact support
Email support@autogp.ai if facebook.com shows no check, yet AutoGP keeps stopping with this reason. Include what the Results tab says and what Run Diagnostics shows.
If you can't get through Facebook's check, only Facebook can help, through the options on the check itself. Never send anyone your Facebook password or the codes Facebook sends you, us included.
